Counseling for Anxiety

You may find yourself constantly overthinking, feeling on edge, or struggling to relax-even when everything appears fine on the outside.

You're used to handling things, showing up, and pushing through. But internally, your mind feels busy, your body feels tense, and it's hard to fully feel at peace.

For many high-achieving women, anxiety doesn't always look obvious. It can show up as overthinking, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed in relationships.

Even when you understand what's happening, it can still feel difficult to shift.

Anxiety is often connected to deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, including relationship dynamics and earlier emotional wounds. Your mind and body may be trying to stay alert, protect you, or prevent something from going wrong.

While this may have once served a purpose, it can become exhausting and make it difficult to feel grounded and secure.

In therapy, we go beyond just managing symptoms. Together, we work to understand the root of these patterns, calm your nervous system, and support you in feeling more present, steady, and at ease in your life and relationships.

My approach is warm, supportive, and integrates evidence-based and somatic therapies, including EMDR and Brainspotting, to support deeper healing and lasting change.

You don't have to keep carrying this on your own.

If you're ready to feel more grounded and at peace, I invite you to reach out to begin your healing journey.

I offer in-person therapy in Birmingham, Alabama, and virtual sessions for women across Alabama, Texas, and Florida.
